| Root canal therapy is the treatment of the inner aspects
of a tooth, specifically the area inside a tooth occupied by the tooth's
"pulp tissue”. It is applied to a tooth whose pulp tissue
is infected. The infection and inflammation is very painful in most
cases. If untreated it leads to serious infections. It can also be
applied to a tooth with excessive wear. |
 |
| It is done by cutting into the tooth’s pulp chamber
and removing the infected pulp by scraping it out of the root canals,
then the cavity is filled with an inert material and the opening is
sealed. |
|
| The therapy is painless due to the latest pain control
techniques and hi-tech instrumentation facility available in our clinic.
If enough of the tooth is damaged by the disease or removed as a result
of the treatment, a crown may be required. |

| A very badly damaged tooth may be difficult or impossible
to restore to correct form and function using a direct dental restorative
material such as amalgam or dental composite. In such cases we apply

a tooth-like covering placed over a carefully prepared existing tooth.

of the tooth has been damaged by decay. Crowns are made up of precious
metal alloy, semiprecious metal alloy, porcelain, or a reinforced
aluminosilicate-type ceramic system such as Procera. |

teeth with artificial tooth is denture re-habitation. The process

Eroded teeth are most often caused by grinding. although one must
always consider other options. Regular swimming in a chlorinated pool

| A treatment, for the purpose of preventing
dental caries (cavities) or other forms of tooth decay. We first clean
and dry the tooth to be treated, then paint a thin layer of liquid
plastic material on the pits and fissures of the tooth. After application
of the plastic liquid, ultraviolet light is shined on the applied
material for a few seconds to cure the plastic. After curing, the
plastic becomes a hard, thin layer covering the treated portions of
the tooth. |

| Removal
of impacted third molar |
| The last tooth in the dental arch erupts
late into the oral cavity. Often there will be lack of space for these
teeth to move into the mouth. These teeth get impacted onto the adjacent
teeth / bone which can lead to decay and food impaction. These conditions
require removal of the impacted teeth by a minor surgical procedure
under local anesthesia. We have an expert surgical team for doing
this procedure. |
